(Clifton, N.J. – November 3, 2023) – Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) can now send its customers notifications about their water company with PVWC Alerts, a system designed to keep customers informed of emergencies and other PVWC-related information.
“We want our customers to know of any PVWC-related activity in their neighborhoods,” said Executive Director Jim Mueller. “However, this information system can only be successful if our customers sign up for it. The great part is customers who sign up for this free notification system can choose to be notified by phone call, text message, or email. Customers are also able to choose what types of notifications they want to receive, such as water main breaks, hydrant flushing, etc.”

PVWC recognizes that it serves clean drinking water to a diverse community, so the platform is available in several languages which customers can choose from.
“We’ve initiated PVWC Alerts to keep customers informed of occurrences that happen within PVWC, such as main breaks and hydrant flushing,” said PVWC Board President Gerald Friend. “It’s important for customers to sign up at https://www.smart911.com/smart911/ref/reg.action?pa=pvwc.”
