Borough of Lodi: Passaic Valley Water Commission will be testing hydrants and valves this week

(Lodi, N.J. – April 16, 2024) – Starting today, April 16, 2024, until April 22, 2024 (excluding the weekend), Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) will conduct routine hydrant and valve testing near Main Street and Garibaldi Avenue. The testing will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

During testing, customers may experience temporary discoloration of their tap water and/or reduced water pressure. This discoloration is caused by sediment and minerals that have accumulated in the water mains over time. PVWC advises residents to refrain from doing laundry during the testing period. After testing, customers experiencing discoloration are encouraged to run their cold tap(s) until the water is clear.

Hydrant and Valve Testing Locations:

• Tuesday, April 16: Main Street and Garibaldi Avenue

• Wednesday, April 17: Main Street and HWY 46

• Thursday, April 18: Main Street and Avenue A

• Friday, April 19: Main Street and Avenue E

• Monday, April 22: Columbia Lane and Mill Street

PVWC thanks its customers for their patience as we work diligently to maintain our water system. For more information, please call PVWC’s customer service department 973-340-4300, option #2.
