(Clifton, N.J. – September 04, 2024) – Is Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) flushing in your neighborhood?
PVWC would like to send a friendly reminder to customers to visit pvwc.com to view the flushing schedule, which is updated regularly. During the flushing process, customers may experience temporary discoloration of their tap water and/or reduced water pressure. This discoloration is caused by sediment and minerals that have accumulated in the water mains over time. Customers experiencing discoloration should run the cold tap(s) at the home’s lowest level, until the water clears.
Once a customer is on pvwc.com’s homepage, please click on the photo titled “Hydrant Flushing.” The streets, dates and times in which flushing will occur, will be listed there.
Flushing is an essential part of our maintenance program, and we appreciate the cooperation and understanding of our customers during this process. PVWC will be flushing through November 2024.
