Pay My Bill Online - In order to access account information customers will be required to create a username using their email and secure password. In the event that the customer does not have an email account, they will be unable to access their billing information online.

Billing Schedule

For residential customers PVWC typically bills quarterly. For other billings, such as commercial and industrial, PVWC bills monthly.

Online

E-Checks and American Express, Discover, Master Card or Visa payments are accepted on our Online Payment Portal.

By Phone

American Express, Discover, Master Card or Visa payments are accepted over the phone. Call 973-340-4300 or 1-877-772-7077 24 hours a day / 7 days a week to make a payment. Customer can also pay with e-checks during normal business hours.

By Mail

For your convenience, we include a self-addressed envelope with every bill. If you prefer to pay by mail,send a check or money order (no cash) and include your statement. Please be sure to write your account number on the check or money order. Please mail your payment to:

In Person

Cash, check, money order, American Express, Discover, Master Card or Visa payments are accepted, Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at our office located at 1525 Main Avenue, Clifton, NJ.

Garfield customers only can visit Garfield's Water Billing Division at 111 Outwater Lane, Garfield Monday - Wednesday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Thursdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., closed Fridays, to pay with cash, check or money order.

North Arlington customers only can visit 214 Ridge Road, North Arlington Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to pay with cash, check or money order.

24 hour Drop Box

Drop your check or money order off at our 24 hour Quick Pay Drop Box located at the entrance of our main office at 1525 Main Avenue, Clifton, NJ.

Payments deposited in this box will be processed at the end of the next business day. You may use this service as long as you are not scheduled for disconnection.

 

Explanation of Billing Statement

Your billing statement includes important information regarding the amounts that you owe, including any overdue amounts. Overdue amounts are indicated as a separate line item in the billing statement. In addition, any accrued interest on overdue amounts is also noted on the bill. It is important to pay your bill promptly to avoid additional fees and charges and possible interruption of service.

Hours of Operation

Customer Service in person business hours are 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., and telephone hours are 7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.

PVWC offers many services to its customers. In the event of an emergency involving your water, PVWC is available 24/7 by calling 973-340-4300.

Meter Reading Information

Passaic Valley Water Commission reads residential meters on a quarterly basis. To find out when your meter will be read next, look at the front portion of your water bill, which shows the date of your current reading. Your next meter reading is scheduled for approximately 3 months from that date.

Penalty Charges

Passaic Valley Water Commission bills are due upon receipt and must be paid within 30 days to avoid a late charge. Unpaid balances will be assessed a 1% late charge penalty.
